I agree with Scott Adams when he questions whether future historians will refer to the 1/6 riots as an ‘insurrection’. When looked at the from the broader perspective of the [historic?] political violence of 2020 it can become an instance of when the violence bled into early 2021 following a controversial election. It’s debatable.

What’s not debatable is that the Democrat’s massive media assets are fighting like hell to keep the story on the front burner for their crass political purposes. A military presence is being kept in DC, lest anyone forget about it or start to focus on other things.

The massive riots predicted to occur at the state capitols failed to materialize. There wasn’t even one. This calls into question the intelligence—to the extent it even exists, that requires an unprecedented military presence at the nations Capitol. To my knowledge there hasn’t been so much as a dust up.

This is being done to marginalize and demonize Trump supporters as domestic terrorists. And this is occurring even as Democrats fall for ‘unity’.

It’s easy to get the idea that what they want is total capitulation. And it starts with confessing that the election was legitimate and free of fraud.

History won't be written until everyone the FBI can find that was in the Capitol or contributed to them being there has been charged with a crime and gone to trial or agreed to a plea deal. It isn't the Democrats keeping this alive. It is the ongoing criminal investigation that will keep this insurrection alive. When they start upping the charges to sedition I suppose you will be arguing that it is the Democrat's fault.
