Automation is problematic because it will cause a collapse in jobs& thus consumerism.

Therefore Capitalism is becoming more & more obsolete.

Which would happen if we follow what I said.
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

    You're probably more a 'Theist':

    "Theism
Theism is broadly defined as the belief in the existence of a Supreme Being or deities. In common parlance, or when contrasted with deism, the term often describes the classical conception of God that is found in monotheism – or gods found in polytheistic religions—a belief in God or in gods without the rejection of revelation as is characteristic of deism.Wikipedia"

Planet B is currently not realistic.

    It's actually anti Religious.

Because obviously God created living things besides Humans to exist not as some building block to recklessly destroy.

Automation has accompanied the industrial revolution since it started. The auto industry itself has automated millions of jobs into the dust bin. Those who developed and built the automation grew big and employed many of them. Real obsolescence will come when robots build robots.
The disastrous predictions have not come true so far.

    Not the same.
This automation could destroy almost all jobs.

Unless we really tax robots or corporations a lot more to create a universal income.

I fail to see how our society can adapt as is.

Jack; The prevailing wisdom suggests that vast underemployed/unemployed people will be 'given' money to support the 'Capitalist system'. Think 'Basic Income'.

    "Universal basic income
Universal basic income, also called unconditional basic income, basic income, citizen's income, citizen's basic income, basic income guarantee, basic living stipend, guaranteed annual income, universal income security program or universal demogrant, is a theoretical governmental public program for a periodic payment delivered to all citizens of a given population without a means test or work requirement.Wikipedia"

    Agreed, one major issue.

Unemployment seems to increase crime a lot.

You'll have to address that to Damocles.

I'm guessing there's lots of crime in Bombay/Calcutta.

    Here's something from Keerthi:

    "Keerthi on Jun 28, 2020:
Mumbai is probably the worst city to live in the entire world. There is no space here and a tiny piece of reclaimed land surrounded by sea is occupied by more than 20 million people.
There is absolutely no greenery here and Mumbai is terrible in every sense of the word.
Half of Mumbai lives in slums. Mumbai is surely the dirtiest city in the world. Much much worse than New Delhi. New Delhi's main problem is air pollution, due to stubble burning in Haryana and Punjab.
Mumbai is a place filled with few billionaire industrialists and Bollywood celebrities. Then you have the plethora of slums to serve these billionaires."
