In Biden’s Catholic Faith, an Ascendant Liberal Christianity
--- President Biden, perhaps the most religiously observant commander in chief in half a century, speaks of how his Catholic faith grounds his life and his policies ---
While conservative Catholics have halved abortion policies and religious freedom over the past four years, Mr. Biden’s policy priorities have focused the church’s attention from sexual politics to issues such as environmental protection, poverty, and migration. It reflects the policy of Pope Francis.
On his first day in office, Mr. Biden recommended to the United States the Paris Climate Agreement, an international agreement designed to prevent global warming; the ban on travel, mainly from Muslim and African countries, was lifted; and stopped construction on the boundary wall
Mr. Biden’s priorities reflect the values promoted by progressive faith leaders and encouraged many to speak up for him during the campaign, said Derrick Harkins, who has led the Democratic National Committee’s interfaith advocacy in the past. On the left, there is a sense of moral synergy between not only advanced Christians but also humanists, Muslims, Jews, Sikhs, and a spectrum of religious traditions, he said.
Unlike four years ago, when most of those who attended the post-inauguration prayer service were conservative evangelists or preachers of the gospel of prosperity, this year’s Thursday ceremony was attended by many religious progressives, including two transgender religious leaders. Rabbi Sharon Brous from ICAR, a Jewish community in Los Angeles, prayed for the coming of a new America “built on love, based on justice and moving with our moral vision”.
The chairman of the Poor People’s Campaign, William J. Barber II, preached and directly encouraged Mr. Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Continue with the third rebuild, decades after the era of civil rights. He called on them to address “systemic racism, poverty, environmental catastrophe/denial of health, the war economy and injustices related to the false moral narrative of religious nationalism”.

1. I don't think 'Climate Change' has a religious component.
2. Being someone who supports the 'environment' ... and being one who supports 'MORE people' are polar opposites.
It doesn't take a Genius to figure out the Climate Change is caused by 'PEOPLE'.
Biden a Christian?
Now that's hilarious.
I would love to hear him explaining all his very unchristian views to God on judgement day and Bush was the most religious in the last 50 years.
Unless you include Islam then it was Obama.

One does not have to be religious to know that slavery and poverty are wrong. But religion and the social gospel can and has inspired progressive Christians to oppose slavery, unrestrained capitalism, totalitarian communism, and environmental degradation.
The leader of Joe Biden's religion has explicitly identified global warming and environmental degradation as existential issues that authentic Christians should take immediate action to reverse.
Laudato si' (Praise Be to You) is the second encyclical of Pope Francis. The encyclical has the subtitle "on care for our common home". In it, the pope critiques consumerism and irresponsible development, laments environmental degradation and global warming, and calls all people of the world to take "swift and unified global action."

God said that to Adam and Eve in Genesis. When there are only two humans on the entire planet, surely it is entirely reasonable to go forth and multiply.
Righty-O. Biden's religious leader, Pope Francis, has consistently and explicitly said that consumerism and unrestrained capitalism degrades not only the health of the planet, but undermines the moral and spiritual health of humanity itself. The Capitalists 'make money' on 'more people'. So the Shareholding Class promotes 'MORE PEOPLE'.
'Environmentalists' are at a GREAT DISADVANTAGE when it comes to SAVING the PLANET.

You are pivoting to another topic. The topic was not about whether it makes logical sense.
I do accept your tacit admission that your attempt to use Genesis 9:7 as evidence of Catholic doctrine supporting environmental degradation was misguided
Again?Explain to me again the Pope's position on 'Family Planning'.]
When did I ever explain it before?
I do not know what the modern position of the church is.
Traditionally, the RCC viewed celibacy as the ideal state of spiritual purity. Screw that! Short of that, they only supported natural methods of birth control.
The bottom line is that the Catholic Church can genuinely support social and environmental justice, without me or Joe Biden agreeing with every single theological position they have adopted over two thousand years
--->"Ascendant Liberal Christianity". Is this the Topic?
I don't believe 'Christians', being the Church or Liberal, favor/promote 'LESS PEOPLE", which is the basic solution to improving the Planet.
More People = More Problems.
Your "environmental protection, poverty, and migration" can be mitigated with a Policy of Less*People.
