    1 – Water

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations is predicting that by 2025, 1.8 billion people will be living in countries or regions with water scarcity.

    2 – Oil

The BP Statistical Review of World Energy in June measured total global oil at 188.8 million tons, from proven oil resources at the end of 2010. This will last 46.2 years, under current global production rates.

    3 – Natural Gas

Similarly to oil, we only have enough gas in proven reserves to meet 58.6 years of global production.

    4 – Phosphorus

Without this element, plants cannot grow. With the need to feed 7 billion people, and scientists from the Global Phosphorus Research Initiative predict we could run out of phosphorus in 50 to 100 years.

    5 – Coal

Coal has the largest reserves, but as industrialization continues, demand may outstrip supply. At current rates, we can meet 188 years of global production.

    6 – Rare Earth Elements

Scandium and terbium are two of 17 rare earth minerals used in wind turbines and smartphones. Exact reserves are not known.

    Things are not getting better.

Humans are using up their allowance for water, soil, clean air and other resources on Earth each year. By August 2, 2017, humans used more from Nature than the planet could renew within a year. This is known as the Overshoot Day.

How will we be able to survive after that? How will we be able to get off the Earth? And so on.

Perhaps no more Farcebook and Twatter?

I welcome you to discuss this frightening scenario.

The only way we have gotten through everything else. Innovation.

The Paris deal is a first baby step. It's nothing - but at least it's something. And even that is insanely controversial. How dare we consider making ANY sacrifices to our lifestyle or habits.

Nothing about how we are living right now is even remotely sustainable.
You're such a simpleton, no wonder numpties like Any Old Crap resonate with you!!

It becomes a problem when one's religious belief infringes upon others' rights.

Sure. I say let them opt out paying taxes for that. Rich people can donate the rest.

You jackasses have been blathering about the damn climate for half a century. Seriously getting tired of it. I remember camping on Assateague Island in Maryland back when I was a young high school democrat hippy, and lamenting the encroaching global cooling that was going to freeze that beautiful stretch of ocean and turn all the wild ponies there into popsicles. Still waiting, only this time it’s warming that’s priority one.

And that’s my point. ALL of the leftard agenda is priority one. Ask any young American mushy skull why it voted democrat, and it will tell you social justice, climate change, income inequality, socialized medicine, free college and a host of other feel good bullshit not in any particular order. Asked to prioritize these burning issues, I’ll bet most of them would probably say something about white supremacy being the end of existence, but all the other crap would be like 1.5. That is not prioritizing.

This newest crap that proud lefty has presented us with? We have evidently passed the torch to a younger, smarter generation(except for the crypt keeper-in-chief, and the mummified pelosi and schumer). We must educate this new generation that when you run out of shit, you either find a suitable substitute, or you hope some survivalist right wing militia will lead you back to the caves and teach you how to hunt and fish. That won’t last long either. Nope, sorry. The eternal solution for this particular problem has always been the four horsemen of the apocalypse(not appearing as a group...yet).
