The fact that American insulin is 8 to 10 times more expensive than it should be based upon what the rest of the world does is a clear sign that America is in big trouble. Competent leadership would fix the problem. If you dont have competent leadership then you will likely soon be deadish.

In the case of four contracts for potential Covid-19 treatments or vaccines with Johnson & Johnson, Genentech, Regeneron, and Roche issued by the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) and the Pentagon, the Trump administration omitted a standard condition requiring that products developed with taxpayer money be made available to the public "on reasonable terms." "This means that the government has limited its ability to intervene if the pharmaceutical companies (which are party to the agreements and are receiving hundreds of millions of dollars to conduct the research) charge unreasonable prices for the resulting Covid-19 vaccines or treatments," The details of the contracts come just days after the Trump administration faced backlash from consumer groups for refusing to require Gilead to charge a reasonable price for its Covid-19 treatment remdesivir. On Monday, as Common Dreams reported, Gilead announced it will charge U.S. hospitals around $3,120 per privately insured patient for a treatment course of remdesivir, which was developed with the help of at least $70.5 million in taxpayer funding. "Allowing Gilead to set the terms during a pandemic represents a colossal failure of leadership by the Trump administration," Described the insurrectionist regime perfectly..........."A colossal failure".

And then there is the future where Trump quadruples the cost of insulin. And the future where the Queen of England is finally revealed to be a shape shifting lizard from outer space. Or we could just deal with the present where you are so out of touch with reality that you make stuff up to fit your fantasies and then try to pretend that it is real.

The only thing the court blocked (for 2 weeks)was for medicare part B prescription drugs.

In September, President Trump issued the MFN executive order aimed at lowering the cost of prescription drugs in the Medicare program. The executive order would tie what Medicare pays for physician-administered drugs to the lowest, volume-adjusted prices paid among Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development nations with a commensurate Gross Domestic Product. The order would apply to 50 of the highest cost drugs under Medicare’s Part B program. Pursuant to the executive order, on November 27, 2020, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) formally published its “Most Favored Nation Rule” in the Federal Register.

The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, the Association of Community Cancer Centers, the Global Colon Cancer Association, and the National Infusion Center Association had filed a complaint requesting a court injunction.

That injunction had nothing do do with anything but medicare part B, what about everyone not on medicare?

    They get raped.

So you think by government micro managing charities, you can turn that around?

Then the rule only affects some clinics and patients of those clinics making less than $44,000.

So, your title is one big lie. The price of insulin today is the same that it was on Dec 21. Biden didn't change that price one cent. Even if the rule had gone into effect, it wouldn't have changed the cost of insulin for 90% of people getting insulin.
C'mon! Let's hold them accountable...this burying of shit that the establishment on both sides dishes out is what paves the way for another POS like Trump.

A Modest Proposal For Separating Blue States From Red

    Dear Red-State Trump Voter,
Let’s face it, guys: We’re done.

It is a tragedy that so much of the work that so many men and women toiled at for so long to make this a better country, and a better world, has been thrown away, leaving us all in such needless peril.

This is why our separation in all but name is necessary.

People on Medicare though are older with fixed incomes -where pricing is very important
