If you are talking about land size, why are you talking about land size? Are you suggesting that representation should be allocated by land size?
ON HIS WORST DAY, JOE BIDEN IS A BETTER PRESIDENT THAN TRUMP WAS ON HIS BEST DAY!

DC only exists because it was thought important to remove the federal government from the control of any state.........there really seems to be only two possible solutions........either return DC to the states it was carved out of or let it be a state and move the federal government somewhere else........maybe we could carve out a bit of Kansas and Missouri with the river running through it........we could name it DFO........the District of Fly Over.......

I dont know why we are even talking about it at all. Talking about something brings legitimacy to it. THAT is not needed here. I mean,...its not like we dont ALL KNOW what changing the designation in DC is REALLY all about,...right? I just hate this kind of dishonesty. Now,... if we want to talk about giving the D's permanent control over the senate which is what this is REALLY all about then we can talk,....I just dont get why everyone has to play along with the ruse and PRETEND its about something other than what it is when we all know better. There has been more than enuff Seedy dishonesty in here .....

"We have Democratic control of the House of Representatives, the Senate and now the White House, and the leadership in all of those bodies have expressed support for D.C. Statehood," she said, adding that Joe Biden is a "longtime" supporter of the District becoming a state.

    Good point.

Concerning Puerto Rico, I believe in the principle of self determination; with regard to DC I believe in the tenet 'no taxation without representation'.

Under the TrumpReich Johnson had planned to make the UK the 51st to 54th states, but now you'd better see Puerto Rico right first.

I believe in self determination: I do not think DC citizens want to be part of Maryland, and I doubt Maryland wants the responsibility of administering DC.

There are more people in DC than in either Wyoming or Vermont.

The constitution does not define requirements for the geographic size of a state. Rhode Island and Akaska illustrate the vast, mind-boggling range in sizes of states.

One thing I know for sure. If DC had an overwhelming track record of voting Republican I just KNOW that the good Democrats would all be 100% in favor of giving them senators because after all..... no taxation without representation!

BTW....They arent going to do that with DC, or make PR a state,... or dismantle the electoral college. Its just red meat for you dumb fucks to placate you for awhile and its also a bargaining chip for the D's to use against the R's to get lesser legislation passed thru. Its what they do,... on both sides.

And if they were EVER to REALLY make an effort to do those things it sure as fuck wouldnt be with JOE BIDEN sitting in the big chair. Lets be somewhat real around here anyway.
