    Default World celebrates President Biden

World Leaders Express Hope As Biden And Harris Are Sworn In

"The United States is back. And Europe stands ready," Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission proclaimed.

European Council President Charles Michel echoed those sentiments. "American democracy has proven its strength and resilience. "Today is more than a transition. Today is an opportunity to rejuvenate our trans-Atlantic relationship, which has greatly suffered in the last four years."

At last, we have a leader we can count on to represent us as a country instead of himself as a greedy selfish person.

Maybe 70 years ago. Right now, Europe needs the USA to provide a common front with them against military aggression of Russia, general aggression of China, terrorism, and a whole bunch of threats to democracy. They do not need our money, they need our effort. That effort often costs money, but not money in their pockets.

You speak of the danger of a economically huge China, but it is not huge compared to the USA, Europe, and the other First World countries united. If we stand together, no one can defeat us.

Translated... We're back to business as usual. The entrenched bureaucracy of career politicians, managers, and office workers has been restored. Rejoice!

The EU is about the same size economy as the USA. The obvious caveat is they are less integrated than the US economy, but they do not need our money to keep them afloat.

They definitely do need our contribution to NATO to keep them protected. We are the last remaining global military superpower.

So why do they need our monies for defense, the Paris Accord, etc, etc? Why can they not pay their own way?

Why would they need money for the Paris Accord? You don't seem to understand what the Paris Accord is. They want us to put the effort into our own country, but that is very different from us paying Europe.

They need our defense, which does cost money. But they do not need us to pay them money. And honestly, we need their help too.

Americans appreciate having good relations with NATO allies.

The only people I am aware of who resent NATO are Kremlin stooges and TrumpCo. apparatchiks.

Thanks for showing, like all Democrats on this board, that you have zero knowledge of anything you speak. Look it up. And the rest of the non bolded just reinforces it.

*YAWN*. You have a lot of personal attacks, but lack any argument that means anything.

There is not a personal attack in there anywhere. Just fact. You know nothing. You prove it every time you post. A typical Democrat.

No. The world looks to us for leadership, which has been lacking for these past four years.
