Agreed that people can claim anything they like on anonymous forums. Military members are often proud of their service, but rarely wield it like a club to win debates because it's both wrong and stupid to do so. Those who do are, more often than not, not who they claim to be. Sure, like Nathan Phillips, they may have served, but any bragging is certainly bullshit.

FWIW, I registered for the draft but wasn't drafted. Like everyone else who served during that time, including Nathan Phillips, i was awarded an "Alive in '75" medal. It's essentially meaningless IMO since I didn't do anything except enlist and serve during that time period.

FWIW, Vietnam officially ended in 1975. My enlistment in the Marine Corps was after HS graduation (1974).

What's to explain? Do you really have an OTH? Was it for psychiatric reasons?

Neither of those links has a quote of Obama calling Bush a war criminal.

He didn't call Bush a war criminal.

    He didn't call him anything.

He talked about what America should do.

Well to give one example of each the neo-marxist advocate a command and control economy. That's certainly a threat to our free market system. The post-modernist, like the far right and evengelicals are a threat to our scientific institutions as they too would change the definition of science in a manner in which science would be unable to function, just as the far right would. So the post modernist are definately a threat to our scientific institutions in which much or our economy and power are based.

I am both happy that Biden is now president...and delighted that Trump is no longer president.

I also am a hell of a lot more optimistic about the future of our country than I supposed I would be.
ON HIS WORST DAY, JOE BIDEN IS A BETTER PRESIDENT THAN TRUMP WAS ON HIS BEST DAY!

    I remember Desert Storm.

What do you call 500,000 American troops camped out in the Saudi desert waiting for the attack order?

    ...

    ...

    -wait for it-

    ...

    ...

    In tents.

    ...

    Get it?

    Intense?

You know, there are good people on the left.

And there are bad people on the right.

    Both sides have their share.

The whole we/they thing is totally overblown.

WE are Americans. WE have different perceptions and ideas. WE decorate the political spectrum all the way from the extreme left to the extreme right. And everything in between.

Usually, extremists don't get to be president. That changed with 45. WE just fixed that. I'm sorry it didn't go the way you wanted it to. It's not the end of the world. Things are going to be fine. What is really your biggest concern about Biden? Your taxes going up? He said that would only happen to people who earn over 400K. If that's you nobody is going to feel sorry for you. That would be the kind of problems you WANT to have. And if that's not you then you have nothing to worry about.
