Ummmm....there's a lot of ways that can go.

There are three main means of behavioral modification: Positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement and punishment.

Punishment produces the fastest results, but is the shortest lasting. Positive reinforcement takes the longest but has the longest lasting results.

Banning shit is punishment. It's punishing people for doing something. Better, IMO, to reward them for being good people.

Agreed. It's a common problem with ancient texts. IMHO, it's best to look at the concept they are attempting to convey rather than the "power of the written word" being presented. I do not take any ancient texts literally. Some can be verified to a small extent, but the point seems to be conveying a way of thinking, not just saying who did what to whom.

Example. If you wanted to end racism in the civilized world, is it better to stamp it out with laws and, when necessary, force or is it better to try to teach others a way of thinking where racism is unimportant because it doesn't exist?

The website. The app still points to the old ip causing the same error. They'll have to update the app in order for it to get that same error. They simply purchased a new server space and have to load backups, etc. to the new server, then update the app to point to the new site IP. Boom...

Probably will take a couple weeks though to do it all, usually their backups are larger than this site... lol

But there was also pamphleteering and the public square for the common man
Those dont exist anymore either.

The public square is now solely social media -it needs to allow unfettered political speech
