trump has not been totally repudiated by the voters like we had hoped, but he has definitely been repudiated by the voters. There has not been the landslide movement away from Republicans that we had hoped, but there is definitely a steady move away from the Republicans.

In a country where there have been skin of the teeth victories for decades, even a few percent movement is enough.

Lets take trump losing 9% of his voters since the election. That would mean that rather than getting 46.9% of the popular vote, he would today get 42.7% of the popular vote. Dole and Bush Senior got less, but only because Perot made it a three way race. Last time a candidate got that little in a two way race, it was Mondale. In statewide contests, we would have seen Biden win Texas by three points today.

And it is going to get worse for Republicans.

likely, those are just the blue voters who had registered as Republicans so they could vote in the red primary.......

The more of this that happens between now and the Senate trial the better the chance McConnell and others will decide it's time to ditch Trump for good, if that decision hasn't been made already.
