Default How Neoliberalism Fueled Trump & Violent Right

We speak with Walden Bello, an acclaimed sociologist, academic, environmentalist and activist, whose latest column argues the United States has entered a “Weimar Era,” in which democratic elections are increasingly delegitimized as street violence becomes the norm. “This is not something that’s unusual that has happened in the Capitol. Right-wing groups, when they begin to lose electorally, … they resort to the streets and to violence in order to stop that process,” says Bello.

On the one hand, many of Trump's cult are racist Christian Fascists and on the other hand the Dem party abandoned the policies that made them a left party and a party of the people which disenfranchised so many. We no longer have a genuine opposition party to the right and both parties in fact serve their donors. Yes, the Neoliberals have fueled much of this.

    Dear Red-State Trump Voter,
Let’s face it, guys: We’re done.

It is a tragedy that so much of the work that so many men and women toiled at for so long to make this a better country, and a better world, has been thrown away, leaving us all in such needless peril.

This is why our separation in all but name is necessary.

Agree. Bill Clinton openly opposed liberalism with the DLC.

The Neoliberals are generally incompetent lying shit people....that is the problem.....that is why the people are so frustrated and upset......we have been abused!

These people are almost as bad as the Revolution is!
This illegal illegitimate regime that runs America is at fault...not me.... they do not represent me and I have long objected to their crimes against humanity.

You clearly are a very big fan of Trump. And Trump ran on a platform of being against socialism. Yet here you are sh*ting on free market folks. So I’m curious, what do you support economically then?

Neoliberalism is a belief in the free market, and little to no regulation by the government. It is the core belief of the Republicans.
