Ahh, yes. I remember after Pearl Harbor how many argued that rather than go to war with Japan, we should audit the number dead. Or after 9/11, rather than going to war with Al Qaeda, and rising security, we audited the number dead.

The reality is that the exact number dead is unknowable, but we have pretty good estimates. We can either try to reduce that number, or we can drop everything with detail audits.

There are scientists who are trying to get better estimates... But that is a low priority compared to trying to end the pandemic.

So let me see if I understand this....we have the power to save the planet but a year in we cant figure out at way to audit the death lists to see how right they are?
