    Default Will JPP survive?

Leftists are demanding that any forum that allows people to say things they deem "dangerous" or hold opinions they claim are "disinformation" must be deplatformed.

JPP's owner has already faced one blockage of the JPP Twitter account (he deleted the Tweet).

Nothing really, they can. However it does not break their rules, it isn't porn, etc.
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. I know.

Since you're here, do you think Just Plain Politics will still be around after the usurper's minions begin "consulting" with their eager allies in private enterprise?

By "consulting", I mean making and distributing lists of websites they want to remove from the Interwebs.

I don't know. You'd have to ask their minions that are on the site. Do they think they'd try to defend JPP or should we just make sure that nobody with a different opinion is ever able to communicate publicly?

I didn't mean the usurper's minions that are on this site. I meant the actual Administration flunkies who are going to be "defeating dangerous disinformation" in a "public/private partnership" with tech companies.

And, no, I don't think any of JPP's minions of mendacity would defend JPP. They clearly believe (based on recent posts) that nobody with a different opinion should ever able to communicate publicly, and many want to go further - they want to criminalize speech they don't agree with.

However, those minions will have their own minions... Will this site be reported? Maybe, but will the Ds on this site act to defend this site or just clap as the government works to shut it down because some folks say things they disagree with... ?

As I said, I don't think any of JPP's minions of mendacity would defend JPP as it is currently configured regarding freedom of expression.

They clearly believe (based on recent posts) that nobody with a different opinion should ever able to communicate publicly, and many want to go further - they want to criminalize speech they don't agree with.

GoDaddy (or Domains By Proxy, or whoever your hosting contract is with) is unlikely to "resist", either, IMO.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Rana is willing to doxx you and expose you to your employers as a "danger to democracy".

Comical how now the right suddenly has a crusade over supposed censorship cause Trump got thrown off social media, actually a deflection to move attention off of Trump's post election debacle, especially the culminating events of last Wednesday

They just love the martyr role, plays well with the demogogues

Funny how we have a thread here seriously suggesting that folks that were simply in the capital at the time that riots happened means that the same folks should be in prison and that the left are the ones suggesting it...

Actually, it isn't funny. Folks who think that political opponents should spend time in jail because of some folks who rioted ignore the fact that both sides have these fringe folks that riot.

Rioters can serve time, after a trial. Folks who were protesting without damage, not so much.

Pretending that this is about social media, "priceless" I guess...

This thread isn't about Trump, Anchovies.

    It's about JPP's future.

And it's not about last Wednesday, either.

DEMOCRATS decided on December 10, 2020 that "many Americans are ill-equipped to recognize and sift through false, misleading, or emotionally manipulative posts."

They must have been thinking about their own voters, but they want to decide what everyone is allowed to say, see, hear, or write online.

Don't know anything about anyone spending time in jail, and both sides do have dimwits that riot, however, it was the right's dimwits who invaded and vandalized the Capital, first that has happened since 1812, and in the process the prevented the Congress from executing its Constitutional duties, not to mention Trump's role in the whole affair

But the thread was on censorship, and the right's employing it as a deflection
