    Oh for heaven's sake dude!

If you don't understand how what Cruz and Hawley did that violates the Constitution, then listen up.

The Constitution does not give Congress the power to reject electoral votes submitted by the states.

If it does, please tell us where it says that they can hold up an election, to try and change the votes already verified and approved by the delegates and state officials.

These two idiots knew they were violating the Constitution by not accepting the vote counts.

We don't need them at all to recover the economy.

    We can leave them behind.

What do 51 or more Republican Senators do for ya?

If the Democratic party is serious about unity, like in a successful relationship, they'll show it. Protecting the nation from ever seeing again their own Capitol overrun by fantacial insurrectionists, much less them having been sent their by a sitting President, should be a top bipartisan priority behind COVID and it's economic impact on the nation.

Zero. All the insurrectionists believed their leader Trump and thought they were saving the nation. This was fanaticism pure and simple with Trump as the Cult leader handing out the Kool-Aid.

    Nothing.

    Literally nothing.

That's what they did the last time they had 51+ seats...nothing.

So I'm not concerned or worried that I'm missing out on wonderful ideas from the same people who tried to insurrect against our government, and did absolutely nothing for us when they had control.

Yep...McConnell sure as shit is realizing that now. And his strategy of threatening filibuster to prevent any agenda from moving forward is as good an argument to remove the filibuster as any that has been made by those on the left.

So I think you're trying to apply pressure that should be applied to Conservatives, to the liberals who won the House, Senate, and Presidency without your help.

I don't forget that...you didn't help at all when it came to Trump.

So why the fuck do you think you're helping today?

I'm 100% on board with Republicans compromising for unity's sake.

    But they aren't.

They have. Biden showed it yesterday in his speech. Then McConnell went on the floor of the Senate and made threats.

    So much for unity.

Here's the thing, though, Dutch...the Republicans supported that insurrection.

So how do you unify with that?

    "unity":

Inspired by some in Texas’ far-right, Wyoming GOP chair floats secession in wake of Capitol siege

Now, by all means, tell me how you unify with that?

Dutch, how does one unite with secessionists?

Seems like a logical fallacy, doesn't it?

You can't unite with people who want to secede.

Secession is literally the opposite of unity.

So you believe everything a man tells you? Fascinating.

Yes, men can be assholes. Deal with it by showing they have to deal with you. Not in a vengeful bitch sort of way, but in a "everyone has equal rights under the law" sort of way.

One of my old maxims was "Kill'em all, let God sort them out". You're spouting the same ideology in a softer way.

Either way it's silly and won't work in the long run.
