It's going to be funny when the rightards begin antitrust investigations.

fascists isnt a free market -it's just suppression of speech.
If you want to let Twitter and FB and such go on without Section 230 then I'm fine with seeing them spend their money on court costs

On one hand Twitter is a private company that can do what it wants but it’s also a public and quasi-monopolistic forum on the other. Everyone’s reacting now based on how they feel about Trump but will be interesting to see the fall out from this down the road and if it is indeed a slippery slope and what the unintended consequences might be.

True conservatives know better than to support Trump or be caught up in such impossible arguments.

There just are not that many of them left.

Their voices have been drowned out by the (thankfully now dying) Trump fervor.

Is it not possible to view the action taken by Twitter separate from how one feels about Trump?

Do ya think Trump is the first person locked out of a twitter account for being dangerous?

    Why now?

Why start complaining about first amendment only after Trump gets locked out if it isn't all about Trump?

isn't it hilarious listening to marxists feign fealty to the "free market"? They don't believe in any such thing. They are using it as a backdrop to support the censorship that they espouse.

It is hilarious listening to them say that what Twitter is doing isn't real censorship. It truly is. Is it illegal? Not in the truest sense. But, Congress did designate them a monopoly. Remember when JPP marxists hated monopolies and wanted them broken up aka the oil companies? Walmart?

Not so much now. Never ever expect a principled stand from a JPP marxist. It is an exercise in futility.

Your comment was about whether people like Trump or not. That should be irrelevant to the topic. I've seen Trump supporters argue Twitter has every right to do this and I've seen liberals who strongly dislike Trump argue this action presents a slippery slope.

It's like the ACLU who may defend people they don't care for based on the principles of the case. That's the topic here. Not do you like Trump or not.

The most prolific troll ever has now been banned from twitter.

It's not whining that people are asking or discussing this question. This particular incident is about Trump but ultimately its bigger than Trump.

No it's not, people got banned for less and Trump got away with it because he's president and Twitter has worried about the reaction with all his cult followers. It's too little, too late. I suppose they realized the reaction to letting such violence be incited will have a far bigger impact than anything his his cranky followers and removing a president would have on them.
