The senator who represented Missouri for nearly two decades until 1995 said if it had not been for Hawley's key role in objecting to the Electoral College votes, Wednesday's chaos "wouldn't have happened."

"But for him the approval of the Electoral College votes would have been simply a formality," Danforth said. "He made it into something that it was a specific way to express the view that the election was stolen. He was responsible."

Just my opinion as I'm admittedly not a Hawley fan, he's no victim here and this goes far beyond cancer culture. He brought this upon himself. And he went to Stanford and Yale Law School, he knows that the first amendment is about government censorship of speech not a private publishing company no longer wanting to publish his book.

At Thanksgiving I was speaking with a guy whose father writes for the Hoover Institute. His Dad said Hawley was the guy to watch in '24 (not that we all didn't know he had Presidential aspirations). He tied himself 100% to Trump and now it has blown up on him.
