The races aren't called yet, and Republicans can still win in GA - but it should not be this close. This is GA.

We're looking at a party that has followed Trump down the rabbit hole. In 4 short years, they have become the party of conspiracies, paranoia and "alternative facts." They have embraced Trump's divisive, vindictive nature - instead of building coalitions and seeking compromise, they have become isolationist and rejected all those who don't march in lockstep w/ them as the enemy.

They have lost the suburbs, and large swaths of the electorate. Red states are turning purple and blue. Dems could be on the verge of controlling the Presidency, House and Senate.

It's time for more rational voices in that party to step up, and reclaim it as a viable governing party with broad support. We need a strong 2-party system. It's dismaying to see them make the choices that they have made, and follow someone who so clearly doesn't have their best long-term interests in mind.

The wake up call is that the system is a joke.

The Democrats can have the system if they want it. They'll be used by their officials just the same as they always have. The reality is that voting is an exercise in the illusion of choice.
