I didn't major in English. It appears as if you did. It's why you're meaningless.

I know the vast majority of teachers take the same two freshman English courses all undergraduates do and that's all they need to meet their degree requirement in Education. That's a fact, and one you would know if you had attended college or gone to a university, like I did.

You know what is required to teach English in all 50 states in our nation? Doubt it.

Then prove it, because everything says the opposite. No specialized subject knowledge is required, but a degree in education / teaching is a requirement. In some subjects in high schools having a specialized degree or background in say science, math, or whatever is preferred, but it isn't mandatory but the education degree still is.

What we don't need are more Liberal Arts majors with useless degrees that amount to little more than having actually gotten what used to pass as a high school education.

We could also use far more people willing to go into the trades and technical jobs that don't require a diploma. Many of these pay better than a college degree in some useless Liberal Art but are neglected by our ill-educated teaching staff at K-12 schools where they push a narrative that you must go to college to get ahead.
The problem with that is it pushes a false narrative. For those simply too stupid to go to college or get a skilled trade, they are going to make lousy money simply because no one will pay someone more to do little--except Leftists who demand a "living wage" or "$15 an hour minimum wage." Those that choose a trade or technical skill can make as much or more as college grads do. They also have the dual advantages of getting paid for their labor immediately and not having a huge debt to pay off like college students do.
what the fuck do you know? you are against a 15 buck an hour minimum wage. that is incredibly ignorant and short-sighted. states and the fed have plenty of exceptions to who has to pay the minimum wage, based on how many employees and/or how much profit companies make to keep a higher minimum wage from causing harm to smaller companies....

all education is important. some more important than others. like one post said, the fact that trump's biggest core base of fools are white men without a college education, proves going to college is important to developing a person into being a better citizen.

Education is supposed to educate you. Whether it's for profit or non-profit, the final product is supposed to be useful and right now much of our education system turns out rubbish. Compared to other industrial, first tier nations the US level of education is mediocre. Our per pupil spending however is one of the highest on the planet. We're not getting our money's worth.
anti-union bullshit, like most dumbshit trump voters spew instinctively. funny how you mention other industrial first tier nations beating us in education, but forget to mention how they all have unions, they all have higher minimum wages, and they all have universal health care, too!! try to find a right wing, stupid shit, anti-union nation that has anything worth wanting...and yet here you are, promoting right wing, stupid shit, anti-union bullshit.

200 large. wow. i bet you are highly educated!! there might be some college graduates making 12 bucks an hour, and some who owe "200 large," but that was not their intent, they wanted to aim higher, and were willing to take a risk to get an education and make it so. the fact they were willing to try makes them a grade above those who settle for less, to some extent. the real problem is that higher education for more people is better for our country as a whole and it should not be so expensive FOR ANYONE. if only so they are less likely to vote for racist, sexist, lying chickenshits like trump.

wrong. people who make better decisions are better.

rewarding stupidity is dysgenic, the scientific destruction of the human species, worse than naziism.

For those who want to understand how the Universities failed the following is essential.

This illegal illegitimate regime that runs America is at fault...not me.... they do not represent me and I have long objected to their crimes against humanity.
