Libs say - we should ban assault rifles because that would save 10 lives a year.

Lowering speed limits to 50 mph would save 5,000 lives a year but libs say forget it.

Actually neither is really true. Assault rifles are used in a handful of crimes a year. Pistols are the primary weapon of criminals.
As for traffic deaths, the leading two causes are failure to yield and drunk driving. The primary cause of accidents is a combination of failure to yield and inattention (eg., eating a cheeseburger while texting and driving).
Speed is way down the list of accident causes. So, while higher speeds do cause more injury and death it is rarely the cause of accidents to begin with. If it were a major cause, then rural interstate highways where speeds are the highest would be the most deadly roads, but they are some of the safest in the nation.

Speed limits should be lowered to 45 mph max and text-driving should be an automatic felony as should DUI. Such measures would save thousands of american lives every year and yet you liberals oppose them. !!!! Nobody likes a a hypocrite.
