Scott’s bill did not go far enough and it didn’t touch the issue of qualified immunity, which is the whole point of demanding police reform. That being said, as my thread on Seattle defunding it’s police department clearly illustrates, a growing number of municipalities are cutting deeply into their departments by billions of dollars collectively and some have even eliminated their departments entirely and rebuilt them from the ground up..
Don’t look now but real reform is here.
