Non sequitur. Technology is a temporary advantage and the US has the best overall computing/data-gathering tech. That doesn't stop hostile nations from conducting ops against us with lesser tech. 9/11 was an excellent example of desert nomads learning a little bit of tech then using that tech against the world's most powerful nation regardless of the huge technological differences between cultures.

OTOH, they quickly learned about the "don't fuck with the 400lb gorilla" rule when the US took down the Taliban government in a matter of weeks and drove al-Qaeda scurrying like rats into the foothills.
