A sad commentary on we, as a people, and our viewpoint of our freedom can be summed up like this. We have liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, yet those very people look at Constitutionalists as radical and extreme.................so those liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans must believe that the constitution is radical and extreme.

My vote for Biden was first and foremost a vote against Trump.
That applied to every Berniecrat or social democrat who cast a vote.

A vote for Biden wasn't always a full endorsement of Biden policy.
In many cases, it was even more a rejection of orangutan madness.
so you're one of the many dumbass sheeple led astray by a political party that the only viable solution is one of the evil fuckers masquerading as the savior of America, instead of using the brain that your creator gave you and realizing that there are 3rd party candidates who only want you to be free.............and you wonder why I consider you a moron

Well, Bernie and progressives should be prepared to be insulted because that’s a distinct possibility.

Politically, Biden has no choice but to keep Bernie and his crew at arms length. The down ballot election results were a repudiation of the progressive agenda. If the country wanted progressive policies—they would have voted for them.

Assuming the election was legitimate, the top of the ballot was a rejection of Trump *the person* and not his policies. By no means, does that mean the country is ready for progressives policy ideas.

I’m not predicting what Biden will do because I doubt it even he knows lol. He threw the left a bone with making Kerry Climate czar [whatever that’s going to mean in practice] and he promised to re-enter the Paris Accords [again, whatever that’s going to mean in practice] but when it comes time make policy, is Biden really going to skyrocket energy prices and tank the energy sector?

No one knows. I just know if he does, democrats face a midterm shellacking and could very easily get kicked out of the WH in 2024.

Myself and others saw this coming from miles away. It’s going to be interesting.

Viable parties other than the Democrats and the Republicans would probably be a good thing; unfortunately, they don't exist.
Voting for a third party presidential candidate is a choice to not participate.

First, you're making a "statement" that nobody of consequence will even know or care about.
Second, your candidate won't win a single electoral vote.
Third, if your candidate miraculously won the presidency, he/she wouldn't have any legislative allies.

The two party system sucks because big tents are only good for circuses and the circuses have gone out of business.
If one of the two party wins both houses of congress and the white house, you now have a one-party system.
Otherwise you have gridlock and no functioning government at all.

But that's the reality, and not dealing with it as it is is not participating in any meaningful way.

If you want to start a new party, win some seats in your statehouse with it first.
Make it a meaningful participant, not an ineffectual "statement."

Lulz. You saw nothing like this coming. Your god lost, you stupid whore. The election was declared 'the most secure in US history' by twump's own administration, and it was a sound rejection of his policy of doing nothing and leading to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans.

What's going to be 'interesting' is your cowardice in the face of the coming investigations into twump's corruption.

My condolences to your mother for her retarded child.

Funny. It used to be ‘vote or you can’t complain’ now its you have to vote Democrat or Republican or you can’t complain? No thanks. Don’t bitch that we have poor candidates and lack choices them complain when people vote for alternatives.

Literally no one touted that, Cindy.

Fun to see you utterly unable to back up your claim and forced to run from it in tears.

    Nice owning you.

Vote for alternatives by all means, but make them viable first.
You try to seat a president when you don't even have a local state rep on the same page.
    That's not building something.
    That's just playing "protester."

I would like very much to have a social democratic party which I could join, but that takes a serious strategy, not a Pollyanna pipe dream.
Right now, the strategy is to co-opt the present democratic party the way trumpanzees co-opted the republicans.
If that doesn't work, we'll try something else.

But just voting for a third party pipe dream candidate isn't going to accomplish anything.
One of the two major candidates is definitely going to win, so you vote for the one that impedes your actual plans the least.

Kind of hard to make them viable if you don’t vote for them right? You need a certain percentage of votes to get on a ballot and ultimately debates.

To each his own, vote for whomever you would like. Just don’t bitch about having no options when you preach that people should only vote Democrat or Republican because no one else can win. I don’t have a PhD in economics from U of Chicago but I know you can’t win when you tell people not to vote for you.

Bernie Sanders became a serious presidential candidate by first becoming the popular and successful mayor of Burlington, Vermont.
Then, although not being a permanent member of the party, he made an excellent effort TWICE to win the nomination of an established party.

I'm not saying that this is the only way, but it's a realistic way.
Doing the Ralph Nader or Ross Perot thing ends with the failure to win not resulting in anything that lasts.

In contrast, the Sanders method resulted in AOC and the rest of the "squad" as well as an effort that remains active today.
This is true whether you're for or against the new democratic socialist movement.
That's all I'm trying to say.
It will work for either and all sides.

I fell into the 3rd party trap of meaningless when Obama was running. I joined the Green Party and became a county leader. What a waste of time that was. I had convinced myself that I was doing the honorable thing, knowing that Obama had no interest in progressive values, no interest in a proogressive age a.At the end of the day, I could only take solace in the fact that I played no part in what Obama did to Libya, a crime against humanity, but I came away from that with a better understanding that voting 3rd party is the exact same thing as not voting at all.

It’s a placebo that fools you into believing that you’ve done something when in fact you haven’t done anything at all.
Today, I hold my nose and vote with democrats who absolutely hate progressives like me.
