I pay all of them significantly more than the minimum wages in the relevant jurisdictions, when a minimum wage exists, and significantly more than the average wage for equivalent services where there is no minimum wage. The people who work for me are my friends. We have built relationships over years. I cook for them when I'm in town. They keep my house safe from burglars when I'm not.
