John Kerry’s Appointment as Climate Envoy Shows the World We’re Back in the Game

Trump’s years of chaotic isolationism will soon be over.

President-elect Joe Biden couldn’t have sent a stronger message to the world with his announcement Monday that John Kerry will be the special presidential envoy for climate. By appointing a former secretary of state whose signature achievements included brokering a climate change accord with China and personally negotiating the Paris climate agreement, it’s clear the United States is back on the world stage after four years of chaotic isolationism under President Donald Trump.

In this position, Kerry will represent US interests on the international stage. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton originally envisioned the special envoy position to represent the State Department in meetings with foreign officials, but with this high-profile appointment, Biden has given the role a major boost from its original conception. Rather than report to the secretary of state, Kerry will directly represent the president and sit on the powerful National Security Council.

You can always find something to bitch about, but his job is working on national and international policy concerning the environment. He is not screaming about anything. He has not been nominated or approved.
Perhaps he should skateboard to Washington? His wife is part of the Heinz catsup fortune. They have money.

The real danger with Kerry as "energy czar" or whatever is that first, he doesn't give a rat's ass about America or the public. He'd let millions die to get ahead personally.

Second, he is truly a studious, ignorant, and uneducated choice in the technology and science of what he'd be making decisions on. You might argue, "Well, he'll listen to the scientists..." That's useless if you have no idea what they're prattling on about. He'd have no way to discern poor science, bad science, even pseudoscience, from good science because he has no real understanding of what these people are talking about.

Then there's his personal greed and rapaciousness. He'd sell you out for a dollar. People like that being in charge are extremely dangerous. They will take a short-term gain for themselves over any gain or benefit for society or someone else, every time.
