Each state had a different response based on their case numbers and etc. The President in this instance can only do things like restrict immigration; use federal assets to see to it that the states have enough vents; institute something like Operation Warp Speed or etc.

For example Biden’s mask mandate is window dressing unless he wants to put his Totalitarian Dictator Hat on. It will be up to governors and local leaders to do a mandate or not do it. And even they are granted very limited authority by the Constitution to enforce it. We’re already seeing local sheriffs who refuse to go into private businesses and enforce the mask ‘laws’.

There’s going to be significant pushback if Biden and his sciencey scientists get too carried away.

Third, we now have a vaccine so a few more months and and everyone will be getting it and the economy will be taking off.
