Lucky for me I have a 9% share in some oil wells in Texas... Cha-ching! $5 a gallon gas will make bank for me! It will easily offset the rise in prices at the pump. Thank you for those checks Conoco!

John Kerry, the former US secretary of state and Democratic presidential nominee, has been named as a special envoy on the climate crisis under Joe Biden’s incoming administration.

Biden’s transition team said Kerry would “fight climate change full time” in the role, which for the first time will include a seat on the national security council.

This elevation shows the president-elect sees the climate crisis as an “urgent national security issue”, the Biden transition team said.

Energy sector gets crashed in the meantime; everyone gets their student loan paid off; Medicare for all. I’m sure I’m missing something.

There is no Planet B, as they say.

Our ignorance of what is happening around us, blatantly, right in front of our eyes - is breathtaking. I don't know why it's a "debate." The oceans are dying; habitat is disappearing.

This is not sustainable. Not even for the near-term.

Symbolism is boring. You can take it to any extreme.

What's needed is systemic change - changing the entire way we produce and consume energy.
