If the right wingers (trump and co.) seem to think they can afford three trillion in tax cuts for the wealthy why is it they now cannot afford trillions for the average working stiff? In the last 9 months the wealthy have "earned" close to a trillion dollars in the stock market. Middle class not so good.

Right...the wrong thing was "reopening the economy".

We should have just paid people to stay home for 6 weeks in Feb/Mar.

If we had done that, we'd all probably be celebrating Thanksgiving with our families and friends today.

We should have had a Manhattan Project type task force working on Treatments, understanding that the CDC is too broken to do the work, and that the scientific community is is now very sluggish and unfocused.

We should have left the economy open but secluded those over 60 and with major health issues....we know what to do in pandemics...you quarantine the vulnerable.

We should have convinced people to take Vit D supplements and go outside as much as possible.

Once we knew that the kids are fine and almost everyone under 60 is fine we should have opened the schools.

Not being able to make tests early killed us, yet another failure of the CDC.

We should have come together as a nation to deal with this crisis, leave the politics out of it, making this all about Trump was moronic, it hurt us.

The courts never should allowed the martial law from the governors.

Not having journalists anymore (they went into the mind molding business) killed us.

The censorship from the Tech Overlords killed us.

We should have done pandemic prep at least minimally competently, not having the supplies ready to go killed us.

We never should have allowed the medical supplies we need to mostly be made outside of America.

We never should have lied to the medical staff, telling them that we were ready for a pandemic when we were not.

We never should have allowed the community health systems to become decimated over decades from cost cutting and lack of caring.

We never should have wasted Jan/Feb/most of March doing almost nothing when it was clear that a global pandemic was almost certainly at hand (I know so because I was saying so at the time).

Then why the hurry? 2 Months to watch for symptoms that something is wrong? Right now it is r=taking up to 8 months just for more symptoms of the virus to appear.

We're not exactly dealing with a virus that remains in your system for months at a time.

Why stay here if Sweden is better? The only possible reason is selfishness, in that you want to fuck this country up from the inside. Socialism is slavery, and the Founders hated it as much as they did corporatism.
