Early this year (and before), the CDC's position was that "masks do not stop/prevent the spread of viruses" (mask wearing was not recommended for that purpose).

A few months afterward, once the covid fear porn got going, the CDC then amended their position to "masks work for protecting others, but not oneself" (mask wearing was recommended as a form of virtue signaling).

Now, just recently, the CDC has ONCE AGAIN amended their position to "masks work for protecting others AND oneself" (mask wearing is recommended as a form of safety).


Just a few questions...

[1] Why would you, even for a second, believe the CDC's guidelines at this point, since it is abundantly clear that they have no clue wtf they are even talking about, as they have changed their guidelines on a whim multiple times now?

[2] Why is the CDC changing their guidelines on a whim multiple times?

[3] IF masks protect both others and oneself, as the CDC now most recently claims, then why can't we return back to normal life?

[4] IF masks protect both others and oneself, as the CDC now most recently claims, then why have cases been "spiking" MANY months AFTER mask wearing has been a thing?
