Notre Dame will never join a conference for football, largely cause they don't have to, their revenue stream would only suffer if they did. If they ever did, think the thought was the Big Ten, but the ACC would be a better fit, the only big five conference with a number of private schools

Can't say I know what the "B1G" is, but I can't think of any conference that has a hockey component, or at least famous for hockey, perhaps the Ivy League, kinda like lacrosse, where many of the best teams in the country aren't associated with a conference

Anybody excited about this college football season?
No. Not even a little bit. I haven't been excited about football since it became a tool of political indoctrination.
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.
    - -- Aristotle

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

It's just the silly logo of the Big 10. But, it looks cool, so, I use it.

    when does it start.....

“Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.”

LSU @ Arkansas was the worst officiated game I've seen in a long time. Extremely bad calls on both sides. By the replay guys too. Even the announcers were dumbfounded.

Pretty funny, not a SEC fan, but I have a good friend who attended and played football at Florida, let’s just say he was on the team, but his biggest complaint about the league is the officials, they collectively were the dumbest people in America. Must be dissing the officials is a prerequisite of being an SEC loyalist
