They intend to, but so far, America has been effective at countering their influence to an extent. America has about the same amount of economic influence in Australia as China does, and we have far more influence regarding their defense and surveillance state.

Now, if China manages to surpass our power within Australia's military and intelligence operations, that will be a very bad situation for them.

    AMERICA WILL SAVE US!

Um No....America is a rapidly dying superpower with our necks already largely under the boot of the Chinese....they can for instance kill our medial system at will....we gave them that power.

The ammonia/hydrogen economy is destined to be huge in Australia.

I think maintaining influence in Australia is a better endeavor than most of our foreign policy initiatives. It's a lot cheaper than most of them as well. That being said, I would agree that America is in decline.

    CHEERS!

The same principle extends beyond the PRC’s Asian periphery. Back in 2003, Xi’s predecessor Hu Jintao told the Australian parliament that Ming dynasty sailors had settled Australia in the 15th century. They “lived harmoniously with the local people, contributing their proud share to Australia’s economy, society, and its thriving pluralistic culture.” China-watcher Clive Hamilton suggests that this fantasy was designed to send a clear message: Australian history only began when the Chinese arrived and engaged in “the symbolically meaningful and, in CCP thinking, legally significant acts of naming, mapping, and settling the land.”6 Who controls the past controls the future, in Orwell’s timeless formulation,7 and so the Party was reaching its long arm into Australia’s past to write a new, China-centric narrative—a narrative uncluttered by evidence. Certain Australian politicians were so impressed by Hu’s story that they immediately called for the history books to be updated.8

It might seem far-fetched to imagine the Communist Party of the future going so far as to claim chunks of Australia. But this is a regime that takes its cue from the imperial dynasties of the past, and many of those dynasties were aggressive expanders. They invaded Tibet, Taiwan, and Xinjiang, they tried to invade Korea, Vietnam, and Burma, and they cultivated a protective web of vassal states in the surrounding lands, installing puppet rulers and sending military expeditions to put down rebellions. Xi Jinping sees himself in the mould of these ancient emperors.

I also dont like that it will likely be under Chinese control before America is.

Their fetish with the indigenous is insane.

Yes, we have problems with - as you put it - "mind- control measures all of the language laws and censorship of art and commercials" it's called "Political Correctness" ( PC in the broader sense of being cultural Marxism) and guess who gave us the bug ? Guess who gave us the PC virus? YOU GUYS DID !! We've been like a satellite State of the US for years now and we got infected with PC through our close cultural contact with you. Besides Americans have already lost their First Amendment Right to freedom of speech/expression. That Right no longer exists in the USA. You're about to have your guns taken off you as well.

The fetish with indigenous culture is insane, you're dead right. It's driven by a very small, but vocal, handful of hard-left, socialist nut-jobs. They tend to be limp-wristed male intellectuals/journalists or your typical stupid - woman social workers Mainstream Australian society doesn't take them seriously. The noisier ones who organize street marches are young people who have been ideologically "re-programmed (brain-washed") by the neo-Marxist poison (Critical Theory, Postmodern Theory, etc) they were exposed to at University; which has now totally perfused all of the non-STEM faculties. Either that, or they're victims/losers like the racist Black haters in the "BLM" organization who riot and set cars on fire and loot businesses and bash those who won't "bend the knee", etc; in the US to vent their raw resentment. We have the same kind of people in OZ, but they don't have the numbers (or the balls) to pull the kind of of shit pulled in Portland or Seattle in any city here. Our police are bad-asses. They are well-trained, they are all armed, and they would be ordered to crush any violent rioting using pretty much any means they liked - provided it was done FAST.

What I see happening in the US is that in the years after 2050, when White European American have become minority group, the Blacks, Latinos and Asians will have voted in a permanent one-Party (Democrat) government. Because Sub-Saharan Africans, Latin Americans, Third World Asians and the like have "collectivist DNA" (generally speaking) so they will not, in the future, object to the kind socialism of that people like Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and AOC are promoting now. But socialism doesn't work, of course, and thus the US seems demographically destined to become a failed state like South Africa ? With the White European American birth rate "flat-lining" (e.g. in 2017, no state in America had a fertility rate for White European women that was above the population replacement level) while Black and Hispanic fertility rates and birth-rates were substantially higher and predicted to remain robust. For me, there is one big worry - ( actually, it's not so much a concern for ME personally, coz I'm pretty sure I'll be dead by the time this shit hits the fan; rather, it's for my son - who is now 22 years old - and his children, if ever he decides he wants to get married and have a family when he's older) - and that is what will happen with the thousands of nuclear warheads the US has both stockpiled and DEPLOYED when civilized American society falls apart ? America currently has ( by far) the largest number of - (and the most powerful) - strategic nuclear weapons in the world. What's going to happen with the Nukes when later this century when, say, El Presidente of the USSA (United Socialist States el Americano) who is a non-English speaking, transgender, "female", mixed-race Mexican/African - American (with an IQ of 80), is issued a military ultimatum by Communist China ?

Finally, Trump said in a semi-formal interview about 6 months ago that he thought the world would not come to an end as a result of climate change, but most probably through a nuclear war. That chilled me to the bone, because (IMHO) Trump understands global politics the same way that Bobby Fischer understood chess.

Why do you like funnel-web spiders ? - they're NOT cute and they can kill you real fast if you get bitten by one. Yeah, no doubt some eccentric individuals here keep them as pets, the same kind of people who think keeping our Taipan snakes and Death Adder snakes in glass tanks in their lounge room , etc, is fun. Personally, I don't understand why people do it.

WE don't have a (serious) military. We rely totally on America to protect us.

Yes, what you say is very true. Another negative is our day-to-day "cost of living" , which is extremely high compared to yours, and to the COL in other Anglosphere countries.

    [QUOTE=War=Peace;4032131]

We don't molest Kangaroos. They have very powerful muscles in their upper legs that enable them to move around - as you know - by hopping. If you get too close to a big, male kangaroo ( a "Boomer") and you piss it off for some reason, it will suddenly pivot back on its tail (which is also very strong) to lift its legs off the ground. Then it will thrust its legs forward at you with tremendous force. If you are facing the kangaroo at the time, it could dig the claws on its feet into your upper chest and then drag them powerfully downward, ripping open your guts. In short, you don't mess with them, not the wild ones at least.

So if you were a pervert who wanted to "butt-hole", or otherwise sexually molest a kangaroo, I suppose you could try, but you might be in for a very nasty shock. I've never heard of an Australian molesting a kangaroo, though you are right about New Zealanders and sheep. Rum business, that. It even worse when you consider that they tweak the sheep's ears with their fingers to make them bleat - (as a means to heighten their wicked pleasure) - while they are doing the "dirty deed."

I might want to go to the foreign country of California, but just to visit.
