President-elect Joe Biden thanked his Black supporters on Saturday during his victory speech, telling them, "You've always had my back, and I'll have yours."
Black voters in key cities such as Detroit, Milwaukee, and Philadelphia were critical to Biden's ability to win over swing states like Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.
Vice President-elect Kamala Harris also singled out Black voters — and specifically Black women — in her remarks, calling them "the backbone of our democracy."

Southern blacks blocked the best possible candidate, Bernie Sanders.
They may or may not have delivered Georgia, but if so, those are the only electoral votes that they (southern blacks) delivered.
Even there, they couldn't deliver the two senatorial races, although they will get a second chance.
As a progressive liberal, I have somewhat of an issue with southern blacks.
It's got nothing to do with racism.
If it were, I'd have an issue with all blacks.
It's about winning, and when winning involves winning with Biden, that's a little tiny win.
Better than losing to the diseased orangutan, but still nothing like what we need.
Maybe he'll take a long nap and let Kamala run the show.
She's not Bernie or Liz, but certainly a little better than Joey.

I too blame Jim Clyburn for crushing the chances of Bernie to become President.
But, ... he may know the Negro mind better than the rest of us?
The 'Black vote' helped put Biden over the threshold. That may have been Kamala more than the Clyburn endorsement for Biden. (?)
As long as it unseated the Mango Maniac, the rest is semantics.
