Default How will Trump's presidency be remembered? Name three things.

The three things President Obama is remembered for is:
He pulled America out of the 2008 Bush/Cheney economic recession.
    He implemented the ACA.
    He killed Bin Laden.

The three things Donald mini-strokes Trump will be remembered for is:
    His impeachment.
    Racial tensions.
Failed pandemic response causing hundreds of thousands of American deaths.
    Republican Congressman Ken Buck:
“We’re at a time in American politics, that I am not going to lie on behalf of my presidential candidate, on behalf of my party. And I’m very sad that others in my party have taken the position that, as long as we get the White House, it doesn’t really matter what we say,”

Covid failure. Impeached, and first to have a Senator of his party vote to remove him. Undermined legitimate election.

He will be viewed as the worst President in US history, and it won't be close. He will be the gold standard by which all other awful Presidents will be measured. And in almost every case, someone will say, 'well, he's bad, but at least he's no Trump'. One of the darkest periods in our history is ending, hopefully we can restore our country to greatness again.

It will take a decade. No one potus can't undo his wreckage to the American "hegemony" (for loss of a better word) or the internal structures of the government.
IOW, 4 years of sane can't erase or countervail 4 years of total disgrace and lunacy. It's just like a personal reputation. Trump stained the USA like a criminal,
Biden can do good time, but that won't restore our rep.

Trump has done 10 to 20 years of harm. And that is if we go forward squelching the destructive ambitions of Bannon type nativist fascists.
In other words, do good time. All my opinion only, obviously.

Example the pulling out of the Iran deal out of spite for Obama. How can any global actor not leverage our defalcation? They will negotiate better terms in every treaty
talking about our breach. "How can we trust you?" Ans. They can't.

I will remember Trump for one thing only--finishing the job that Dubya started---
revealing beyond any doubt that half of all Americans are sub-human troglodytes.

Dubya was actually re-elected after his disastrous first term and Trump has come disgustingly close.

Dubya for all his many warts, was not a sociopath. There have been a lot of Dubya philistines in the Jacksonian tradition.
In Trump we have a true specimen. A sociopath potus. That's a rare butterfly. Hopefully a one off. A Caligula level personality disorder
or mental defect profile we just lived though it. Egad!

    Reasonable take, I guess.

How much did Donald mini-strokes Trump damage the Republican party?

And to think Trump got the 2nd highest vote total for a US presidential candidate. They're just freaking scary.

Depends on whether he continues to have a grip on them. I suspect he might, which means they are irrelevant for the next decade. Don't let the Republican 'victory' the other night fool you. It was a pyrrhic victory. The head of the snake has been cut off, and they have no replacement, or even any idea of what the party should be. If they continue to be a white supremacist party devoid of any ideas, they are screwed.

I'd say DJT politically resembles Jesse Ventura more than Ronald Reagan.

He isn't close at all. We have more than enough uncounted votes to bury him.

Jesse was an interesting guy. Smart, but his ego got in the way. Ventura was way smarter than Trump, but shared his combativeness with the press and his populist style (although Jesse wasn't overtly racist). So, Jesse wasn't bad on a Trump scale, but Trump is closer to Jesse than he is to Reagan. Jesse was a true third party candidate though which made his victory pretty unique. I'm very familiar with the Minnesota political landscape at that time. It was a period when I didn't vote for a Democrat for probably five or six gubernatorial races in a row.
