I really do not know why he wasted everyone's time fighting it. Now that he has fled charges, there should be no bail offered him. If he were innocent, you would think he would be eager to clear his name.

Rittenhouse argued that he had some constitutional right to not face justice. His lawyers could not find any place in the Constitution that said Neo-Nazis are above the law, but there is the Full Faith and Credit clause that requires Illinois to extradite him. He wasted everyone's time with demands that the judge "ignore binding Illinois law"(judges words), and that will be remembered by future courts as this case goes forward.

Rittenhouse might still avoid conviction, but he certainly is not helping himself by claiming to be above the law.

Rittenhouse will have every chance to make his self defense argument, but if his defense team continues with stupid arguments he will be laughed into a long prison sentence.

The left learned nothing from the Zimmerman case.

I sure that had even more evidence than you do. It was not self-defense. He was hunting.

nothing exposes the stalinist left like labeling a political prisoner as a domestic terrorist and celebrating the end of their freedom.........
A sad commentary on we, as a people, and our viewpoint of our freedom can be summed up like this. We have liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, yet those very people look at Constitutionalists as radical and extreme.................so those liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans must believe that the constitution is radical and extreme.

Even SYG laws do not allow a person to start an incident, and then claim self defense. I think the local cops need to be charged as co conspirators.

Nobody forced him to cross state lines in order to go hunting.

irrelevant. if my neighbor is being attacked, should I sit in my driveway and watch until police arrive?

Interesting point to make about Rittenhouse traveling hundreds of miles to attack someone else's neighborhood.

Rittenhouse's mistake was getting involved in this rioting at all. Unless you are someone who's job it is to deal with that sort of thing it's not a good idea to go looking for trouble or getting involved. There are just too many negatives. Instead, stay away and if for some reason it comes to you, then defend yourself and your property. Defending your immediate neighbors and local business where it is very close to home is equally valid. But don't drive hundreds of miles to get sucked up in a violent riot / protest. That's just asking for trouble.

Odd hunting technique, running away from your prey. I'll have to try that.
