Yes, there are according to the law. It is the same as if I provide you the amount of money something is worth.

He's an idiot and a scofflaw.

Under his theory, the only time a tax is due is when one party to a transaction gets screwed, and the screwer pays on the amount he bilked the chump. LOL

Hey a chump could declare a loss and deduct it from other taxes for being a sucker! The sucker deduction!

Taxes? Let's take an example: What do I get from the 18.3 cents of tax per gallon the federal government takes?

You get a federal highway system. And that is heavily subsidized. It has been the same since 1993, when the amount that 18.3 was twice as valuable. If it were adjusted for inflation, it would be 33 cents today.

But you really do not need to be provided anything for your taxes. Taxes are owed on barter, whether you like it or not. It is owed whether you get anything for the taxes or not. Any transaction where you get something, you owe taxes on.

I don't have to support the law to know the law exists.

Thankfully, it's been much milder in my life than the lives of friends and family. We only go out once a week as opposed to 2-3 times, now usually timed with medical appointments unrelated to COVID and see family less. As such, by spending less my savings have shot up 200-300%. Good for me but bad for business owners.

If you've read the general content of this forum you'd know it's a baby step, not a pole vault.

Do you think it's wrong for an asshole to abuse their position to push a political agenda? Asking for a friend.

There are types of Christians that don't abide or turn the other cheek and rather seek to evangelize. When representing Christ your hand should only use guidance with an extended hand and not a dictating point of the finger. Doing such alienates rather than soothes and is what will drive more people from the faith. They think they are doing God's work but they forget Christ in their actions and drive people further away from God.
