Yes, but its a matter of representation in the Electoral College. If you live in Montana, you get one elector for every 193,000 residents. If you live in California, one elector represents about 727,000 residents. That means that your votes counts 3.5 times more in Montana than in California.

If your Republican U. S. Representative (or governor or Senator) gets 51% of the votes and his Democratic opponent gets 49% the Republicans win 100% of the representation in that district and the Democrats get 0% although they had almost half the votes.
Congrats to voters that are voting despite Republican attempts to suppress voter turnout.
