"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man."
— Joe Biden on Obama.
Socialism is just the modern word for monarchy.
D.C. has become a Guild System with an hierarchy and line of accession much like the Royal Court or priestly classes.
Private citizens are perfectly able of doing a better job without "apprenticing".
Blacks do not have access to good schools. Charter schools are not as good as average schools in most cases. They just take tax money and make profits.
Schools are funded by property taxes. Even rightys can figure out that that guarantees a lot more school money in fancier neighborhoods with less student density.
Private schools just want a crack at tax money and they can still charge students bigly, keeping poor kids out.

That is what progressive White libs do ...
More than 140 New York City elementary and middle schools had at least one grade where more than 90 percent of kids flunked their state exams last academic year, according to a Post analysis.
A total of 23 schools had at least one entire class where not a single student passed a math or *English proficiency test given annually to kids in grades 3 to 8.

Probably not. The students got restricted to having only 2 guns in their vehicles when I was in school.
Everybody was mad because all the gun racks were 3-4 slots. Teh tyranny it was!
That asshole eventually got fired.
More like culture rot as a result of leftist indoctrination in the schools.

Why do you hate community lunch? I like different stories, they are not an issue. Why is the for Devos or you? I don't need an excusive school to experience life why do you? A re you a pussy? for complicated experience?
Wow, bigoted much? You think all black people cant afford private school if they want? You think all black people cant afford to move to neighborhoods with good public schools?
I’m willing to bet a healthy some of dinero that I have a number of black friends that went to much better schools than you did. Because it sounds like you think they are all poor in your mind.

Your white privilege is showing Micawber.

And PigDog's repuke plan of low taxes and white flight, free markets, no social safetynet, and no minimum wage increase in the last 50 years is fixing this exactly how?
He lives in West VA or Ky. Whichever, they don't even have a creditable city between them, or the attendant problems. He isn't paying our sky high property taxes
for urban schools and never will.
It's not about him, that's a copout.
When you live in a largely white suburb with million dollar homes and good public schools, like you do, it's easy not to care. Or it's easy to say 'we should fund other schools better' because it makes it sound like one cares when we've gone that route for decades with limited results to show for it.
Leaving aside that if you've lived in your home for a number of years in Cali you probably aren't paying sky high property taxes I'm not following the position of higher property taxes for urban schools. Plenty of wealthier suburbs pay higher property taxes to fund their schools to my knowledge (various school tax measures voted on over the years).
