‘Quote anything I've ever written that says I was Sinatra's bartender...or buddy...or that I hung with him...as you have frequently charged that I claimed.“
‘I served Frank Sinatra a single drink at a Party in the Hamptons. That is what I mentioned in a thread where it was appropriate...”’
Talk about lying and senility.

I got lucky...and visited while in the USAF. Rome and Naples. My father was from Caserta...near Naples. My mother's family came from further north...perhaps near Rome. I know that my grandmother was a childhood acquaintance of Eugenio Pacelli, who later became Pius XII. Pacelli was highborn...my grandmother decidedly not. I never found out about this while my grandmother was alive, so I never got to question her about it, and my mother and aunts just knew that she had known him as a kid.
Italy is spectacular and well worth a visit, Steve. But oddly enough, although I am Italian on both sides, my favorite part of mainland Europe was Bavaria. The German Alps are magnificent. I was atop the Jennerbahn and was able to view The Eagles Nest in Berchtesgaden. Hell of a sight.

You are a fucking liar, Earl.
Since you have access to an archive...link to a post where I claimed to be Sinatra's bartender. Link to a post where I claimed more than just serving him a drink at a fancy party.
You can't...and you don't have the character to acknowledge that you can't.

I've been to Sicily, but otherwise never further south than Florence. If I could afford it, I'd live in Venice, though, before the sea rises too high! I love Italy (Bavaria seems to me just motorways where everything costs too much! Lots of Italians keep cafes in our Country (one of the Sidoli's played for 'Wales') and even more in our 'colony' in Patagonia, and they have a really tough rugby team who never give up, never mind how badly they're being beaten. The crowd love 'em at the Principality Stadium - partly, I suppose, because they never beat us!
