Southern Maine is turning blue. This is due to liberals from Mass and NY who taxes themselves out of those state moving to ME. So they can fuck that up also. Just a real observation as a New Englander.

Latest polling has Collins down 7. She's in a bind with this SC vote coming up. She's been making noise about wanting the nominee to be selected by the new POTUS, but she always 'is concerned' over the topic of the day. Then she votes with trump almost every time.

She's going to be forced to take a tough vote next week. This will be interesting.

I think she has a 'Get Out of Jail' card. Republicans don't need her Vote to Confirm Barrett. They'll let her put on the 'Dog & Pony' show for the electorate.

"Mr. Trump does not actually need Ms. Collins’s vote to confirm Judge Barrett: Enough members of the Republican Senate majority have said they would support her that her confirmation appears all but certain."

We only need to flip three. Arizona and Colorado look like it's a done deal.

For all his bluster, Romney is on board with trump. I think there was another 'at risk' senator who was making noise about a 'no' vote, but this is a done deal.

Republicans don't care. They believe it's worth a loss of the Senate to ram this through. They've pretty much accomplished their entire wish list in the last 4 years.

Republicans in the Northeast aren't able to let their freak flag fly as much as they are down in Alabama. Romney and Collins are moderate and part of the shrinking sanity of the GOP.
