Lovely justification and twisting of the words of Christ. But then -- that's how you've justified being a bigoted asshole your whole life, isn't it? We are all children of the gods, but for sure you are no closer to them than I am, and with that attitude towards Creation, you never will be close.

Both could be correct. If God really is really all powerful, all knowing and all merciful, wouldn't the ultimate power be able to, figuratively, toss out a handful of sand and know what would grow 13+ billion years later? In fact, to an eternal being, there's no time. No difference between one nanosecond and 200 billion years.

In probability, IMO, both ARE correct. That knowledge will not satisfy the fundamentalist haters like Stretch and her ilk from insisting that they have the only one true path to the Divine. When your chosen doctrine tells you to "love everyone" but then teaches you to assign judgment points to them like "That gay couple are sinners and going to Hell," or "that woman who aborted her rapist-brother's baby is going to Hell," or "That politician is a pedo because Breitbart told me so," then you don't really love everyone. Not even close.

Agreed on innate desires. Sexuality is wired very deeply into all sexual species. Any species which reproduces using sex would favor those who mated with the correct mate. In this way, homosexuality is an evolutionary dead end since it's not reproductive sex. If all human beings suddenly didn't have heterosexual sex and only favored homosexual sex, the human species would quickly die out. Obviously that's not going to happen anytime soon. [/quote}

And that argument right there is proof that sexual preferences are inborn. The other proof is asking yourself "So when did I choose to find ___ gender preferable?" Not a single one of us, gay or straight, can name that time. It was just something that happened. Most gay ppl I know (including family members) have said that they knew from preschool years that they preferred their own gender.

People like Stench who insist that being gay is a choice and a sin need to be punched straight in their hater faces, just because. There's no fixing those diseased minds.


Homosexuality has been well known to exist in all written history. Some cultures accept it, some frown on it and others try to burn homosexuals at the stake. I prefer the cultures that allow freedom to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

My guess is to spice up things around the campfire. Those stories were told for a few thousand years before Moses/whomever, wrote them down. Some books of the Bible are obviously a little less factual then others.

It's why I said homosexual sex was just a footnote. It wasn't among what were more common practices like selling children, etc. So it's somehow more taboo back then. The term Sodomy is exclusive for homosexual acts but it's namesake was hardly about homosexuality.

Like many stories in the Bible several questions are left unanswered. I was never taught Sodom and Gomorrah was only about homosexuality, but all sorts of sins:
