The real question is Why hasn't the FBI responded to OFFICIAL requests from Congress (yes, it's Republican House and Senate members) to show them they have possession of the original laptop? After all, it was subpoenaed officially by the FBI so there has to be a chain of custody on it.

I also find it highly interesting that this story, like almost everything about the Hunter Biden laptop is not being reported on by any of the non-conservative media out there. It's as if the story doesn't exist to CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, HLN, etc. That too seems highly suspect.

The House has no requirements whatsoever beyond handing the Articles of Impeachment, in whatever form they may be, to the Senate.

The Senate has full discretion on impeachment trials. They can receive Articles of Impeachment and immediately pronounce a verdict of "Guilty!" They can run the trial any way they want. The Senate has no requirements whatsoever, including no requirement to even hold a trial or to render a verdict.

The FBI, on the other hand, has to walk a fine line filled with requirements.
