Bullshit. You're still living in the 1960s.

Pre-integration, they would have blatantly had beds for only white people. Today, they are more subtle about it, and make sure there are beds in white areas. There might be a few blacks who get the better treatment, but not many.

Republicans are not going to spend money on Blacks.

I'm hearing more and more stories like that. My former attorney and her family all got it during the summer. Her husband and teen daughter are okay, but she has possibly-permanent heart damage. Like your friend, months later she is still coughing and has chest pain upon exertion. She isn't even quite 50 years old yet.

As for the false claims that the virus is less lethal now, this is not true. It's a statistical artifact due to the fact that we are doing far, far more testing now than at the beginning of the pandemic when only those with symptoms were tested due to lack of test kits.

The subtleness is economic just like the Gentrification of cities. Hospitals have plenty of beds for those who can afford it. Although economic success for too many African-Americans is based on the impact of 60 year old Jim Crow laws, those 60 year old bigotries can't be totally blamed on the plight of poorer Americans today regardless of skin tone.

IMO, while racism certainly exists, all too often Democrats like to blame Southern whites for all racism in America when, in fact, it's spread across the entire USA. Mostly east of the Mississippi both North and South.

Which is why, despite Trump's aborted fetus miracle cure, I think he's showing some signs he's being held together with Dr. Feelgood injections and steroids to suppress post-COVID problems.

Best wishes to your attorney for a full recovery somehow, I hope.

This thing is terrible. The only upside I see to it is if that is what it takes to get America to finally wake up to how dangerous Trump is and boot him out. I knew it before the 2016 election.

I don't think he needs to be out playing a full round of golf in the hot Florida sun.

As of today 176 of the 890 ICU beds have COVID patients in them, with 133 beds empty:

I fond it interesting that Mississippi runs a much better COVID site that Washington State does.
