Projection. Play the victim to justify victimizing others. This is how you know they really do intend to pack the court. They wouldn't be trying to justify it ahead of time by pretending that replacing dead Justices is Republicans "packing the court" unless that were their goal. We have our answer. Democrats will do literally anything for power. Including scandalously un-American abuses of power.
And no, the McConnell rule IS NOT that you can't approve SCOTUS nominees in an election year. That is a deliberate lie (see the record of every major Democrat demanding that THEIR election-year SCOTUS nominee be approved when it was Obama replacing Scalia). It is that you can't approve a SCOTUS nominee when the Senate has recently been given back to the opposition party, thus indicating the American people want a change of direction. That's not what's happening here, but it was in Obama's situation.
Like everything else they've done for four years straight, this is about nothing more than overthrowing elections...in this case, by making SCOTUS nominees irrelevant. Incidentally, this is how the Civil War started, with exactly these kinds of in-your-face power grabs (including what what they are talking about with DC and Puerto Rico to manufacture new Democrat Senators).
"Democrats are using a coordinated talking point to accuse Republicans of "packing" courts with ideologically allied nominees, even though it's Democrats who have called for actually packing the Supreme Court with extra justices if they take power in 2021."

That's the point of the thread. They HAVE told us. That's the only reason they would be preemptively lying about the GOP "packing the court." And the polls are absolutely devastating on this. The overwhelming majority of Americans see this as a disgusting abuse of power...which is what stopped FDR from going forward with it. So they refuse to answer until after the election...because they intend to do it.
Can't compete legitimately? Just lie, cheat, and steal like the Demagogue Party.

Indeed.
The Senate confirmation hearings for Amy Coney Barrett may lack for political drama, but they are still instructive.
They are revealing the deep fault lines over the Supreme Court, and how DEMOCRATS view it as a mini-legislature to achieve policy goals, rather than a real judicial body.
DEMOCRATS are asking very little about the actual law or Judge Barrett’s jurisprudential thinking.

Bullshit
Show us other than in a Trump campaign ad where Democrats said they were going to pack the Court, not talked about packing the Court, but actually running on packing the Court
And the majority of Americans think the election should decide who picks the next Supreme Court Justice, now does that mean Trump is abusing his power
Nothing to see here, typical radio rhetoric
Charoite (10-15-2020)
Adding Justices is not unConstitutional, no where in the Constitution does it say the Court should have nine Justices, in fact originally it had six, and in the past has had as many as ten
Mitch threw out all the precedents and trading, so if you have complaints talk to Mitch
Charoite (10-15-2020)
Dems have been laying the groundwork for packing. Schumer said as much. Biden refuses to answer.
Obama said as much about the filibuster.
so they are busy now de-legitimizing and pettifogging "packing" terminology
artichoke (10-13-2020)
The Dems overplayed their hand. We have the Trump (pun intended) card.

False challenge fallacy.
I'm arguing that them lying about the GOP replacing dead SCOTUS Justices being "court-packing" is their way of telling us they intend to pack the courts...and you're impotently and dishonestly responding by demanding proof that they literally added it to their platform.
Weak, lame, and fake. Try again, dishonest demagogue.
1) Polls almost universally over-sample Democrats to get their results, which is why they were so incredibly wrong in 2016 and so often wrong in general. So I don't know that I even believe that to begin with.
2) Approving Justices at ANY time is authorized under the Constitution. So no, it's not an abuse at all. And politicians are not supposed to be slaves to (usually wildly wrong) polls anyway.
Then refute any part of it.
