That's idiotic. The Constitution expressly requires their consent. They did not give it. You're fraudulently playing the victim to justify cheating (stacking the SCOTUS), as always with Democrats.

Mitch McConnell was around 130 years ago? Because that's how long ago the last election-year SCOTUS appointee was approved when the Senate had been recently handed to the opposition party.

Man, he looks great for his age.

Um...no. Democrats colluding with Russia to doctor evidence, lie to a federal judge, and illegally spy to frame their opponent and steal an election...isn't Republicans being in bed with Russia, fucking moron.

I refer you to the above debunking of this lie the first time you told it.
McConnell laughed about the lie when he told it. When asked about stopping the Dems he was happy to stop Garland. When asked what the Reds would do in the same place he said "well we would fill it."The question was asked because Mcconnell made up a rule to block garland. Then ignored it 4 years later.
McConnell clearly said he blocked Garland because the people deserve a chance to influence the seat. Now he is doing the opposite with Barrett. Historically Supreme nominations were accepted unless the candidate lacked the ability or character required.
This is a new situation and completely political.
We have had different numbers of judges in the Supremes. That has precedence. What Mcconnell did is unprecedented.

Why not address the question presented to your ignorant ass instead of trying your childish lies, and deflection. Then too, you are too stupid to understand the argument to begin with.

The solution to not being a democracy is to simply fuck the obsolete republic and start a democracy.
Our revered founders gave us the most inefficient government on the face of the earth.
I suppose it's ok for right wing mouth-breathers who hate government, but for more evolved and educated people who believe in social responsibility, our once revolutionary constitution is pathetically obsolete which is why more
modern democracies look at us like so many vulgarians.

Um...that's EXACTLY what it means when it requires the Senate's CONSENT. If they do not give it, the president does not get it. Speaking of what even two-year-olds should be able to understand.

Show me where it says the Senate's consent is required, unless it's been X amount of days since they approved an appointee.

    1) You being constitutionally illiterate, brainwashed, and unteachable is not other people eroding the Constitution.

    2) Democrats (the people trying to stack SCOTUS and overthrow the Electoral College) oppose virtually every single part of the Constitution:

    -free speech

    -free religious exercise

    -freedom of assembly

    -freedom of the press

    -gun rights

    -due process

    -state sovereignty

    -separation of powers

Meanwhile, Democrats support everything that CANNOT be found mentioned or even IMPLIED ANYWHERE in the Constitution as a right:

    -abortion

    -homosexual marriage

-the imaginary right not to have to witness free speech or free religious exercise

    -illegal immigration

    -infanticide

    -boys playing in girls' sports

-terrorists, felons, and illegal immigrants voting

-making taxpayers bail out irresponsible student loans

-racist preferential treatment for minorities at everyone else's expense

-sexist preferential treatment for women at everyone else's expense

By design, to restrain lawless tyrants (Democrats) and keep all the power at the lowest level, where the individual has maximum control. If it's frustrating you, then it's working. It was SUPPOSED to be frustrating to control freaks.

Setting aside your usual lies, and bull shit, no one is contesting the legality of the actions. It is the open hypocrisy of the McConnell "rule" that fools like you support as long as it feeds your own sense of paranoia, and fear. But the one thing that has been proven over, and over, is that the right wing has no integrity, no sense of honor, and are cowards of the lowest stripe.

Um...no. You did, repeatedly. And you apparently finally comprehended that you were wrong, after pages of ignorant, self-discrediting butchery of the Constitution, so now you're lying about what happened. Too bad there's a record for everyone to effortlessly go back and review your lying, to see that you're also lying now.

That doesn't even make sense. There is no paranoia aspect to proving that the McConnell rule was never violated, or that Democrats are unteachable morons.

Democrats will do literally anything for power. Including scandalously un-American abuses of power.

And no, the McConnell rule IS NOT that you can't approve SCOTUS nominees in an election year. That is a deliberate lie (see the record of every major Democrat demanding that THEIR election-year SCOTUS nominee be approved when it was Obama replacing Scalia). It is that you can't approve a SCOTUS nominee when the Senate has recently been given back to the opposition party, thus indicating the American people want a change of direction. That's not what's happening here, but it was in Obama's situation.

Like everything else they've done for four years straight, this is about nothing more than overthrowing elections...in this case, by making SCOTUS nominees irrelevant. Incidentally, this is how the Civil War started, with exactly these kinds of in-your-face power grabs (including what what they are talking about with DC and Puerto Rico to manufacture new Democrat Senators).

"Democrats are using a coordinated talking point to accuse Republicans of "packing" courts with ideologically allied nominees, even though it's Democrats who have called for actually packing the Supreme Court with extra justices if they take power in 2021."

Now in terms of your gutter action of fiction, consider some facts:

Analysis: US to hit 200K dead; Trump sees no need for regret

As the coronavirus pandemic began bearing down on the United States in March, President Donald Trump set out his expectations.

If the U.S. could keep the death toll between 100,000 to 200,000 people, Trump said, it would indicate that his administration had “done a very good job.”

In the coming days, the number of U.S. deaths is set to clear the outer band of the president’s projections: 200,000, according to the official tally, though the real number is certainly higher. The virus continues to spread and there is currently no approved vaccine. Some public health experts fear infections could spike this fall and winter, perhaps even doubling the death count by the end of the year.

Once again we can easily ignore your lies, and bull shit, by simply pointing out that it is part of the McConnell "argument", and yours, that the "rule" applies in the years of an election. That was the "argument" for denying Merrick Garland hearings, and a vote, when Obama nominated him. And you lie once again by stating that my position has changed, and, as is your usual drug induced state, never producing any form of evidence that such is the case, just your lies, and bull shit.
