And no, the McConnell rule IS NOT that you can't approve SCOTUS nominees in an election year. That is a deliberate lie (see the record of every major Democrat demanding that THEIR election-year SCOTUS nominee be approved when it was Obama replacing Scalia). It is that you can't approve a SCOTUS nominee when the Senate has recently been given back to the opposition party, thus indicating the American people want a change of direction. That's not what's happening here, but it was in Obama's situation.

Like everything else they've done for four years straight, this is about nothing more than overthrowing elections...in this case, by making SCOTUS nominees irrelevant.
