Default Notice Trump and his surrogates ain't pushing Law and Order much lately

"How Trump lost the law and order debate"

"For months, in the midst of protests against racial injustice and a worsening global pandemic, President Trump has sought to portray his Democratic rivals as lawless rioters bent on mob rule. His presidency, Trump has insisted, is the only thing standing between a wave of crime and chaos"

"But Americans think otherwise. In poll after poll, a plurality — and in many cases a majority — say Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden would be better equipped than Trump to handle law and order or crime and violence. Biden, in short, is beating Trump on one of the key issues on which Trump wanted to base his reelection campaign."

"Both Democratic and Republican strategists said Trump’s failure to use protests that turned violent in cities like Seattle and Portland against Biden illustrates the most significant challenge Trump now faces: Unlike four years ago, Trump is not the outsider coming to disrupt the system. He is the incumbent, presiding over a deeply divided country."

'It’s hard for President Trump to argue that lawless Democrats are responsible for a surge of violence that has occurred during his administration"

"Today, law and order has come to be seen as a dog whistle. A lot of the stuff on immigration and race, it all feeds into the nativism, race-baiting narrative which has a narrow appeal to some of Trump’s base, but very little appeal outside of it”

    https://thehill.com/homenews/campaig...d-order-debate

Pretty obvious from the jump that the Willie Horton theme was applicable to the 21st Century, the only ones buying it were those lost in the Fox bubble which already make up Trump's forty four percent

They have no new ideas. The campaign, I’ve read, is very frustrated. Trump wants only to redo 2016. It’s really a stupid strategy.

That's the states' business. He's offered help. If they want it, he'll give it. Can't babysit childish Dems forever.
Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
    pain in abortion.

Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.

You are missing the point there "stretch," this ain't 2016, Americans see an angry divided country and Trump is now the leader of that country, the ands, ifs, and buts, don't excuse anything, it is his show, and attempting to sell uncontrolled violence as a threat as someone else's fault falls on deaf ears

you guys are such political simpletons. BLM for example fell in popularity by almost 20 points, in large part due to the liberal terrorism in our cities. This election is about trump the person. Gallup even had a poll recently that 56% of americans feel they are better off now than they were 4 years ago. That's even with the pandemic going on. Truth of the matter is, trump is losing because women are soo insanely butthurt that clinton lost they need revenge. That's all it is. No rationality too it.

And they see quite clearly most of that is caused by Democrats. Particularly giving into lawlessness for political gain. Good point "archives".

Wrong, it is Trump's country, he is the President, the man in charge, numero uno, if the country is f*cked up, he's the leader of the country, the fish stinks from the head down, which the sources in my post show is exactly the way Americans see it

Simple, there is nothing more that can be said about that, kinda like saying all Asians see the world differently cause they have slanted eyes, if one believes it, nothing is going to convince them otherwise

I am not spinning it pal, as the sources in my intial post show, it is what Americans believe, and why the law and order campaign theme ain't working, all the "ifs, ands, buts" you, Trump, or the right wing media come up ain't changing the reality, the offered excuses ain't working, Trump is the one in charge
