read the Constitution - the populace used to not elect Senators either

What you're basically saying is that elections shouldn't be decided by who most Americans want.
no what I'm saying is our REPUBLIC is not a DIRECT DEMOCRACY for reasons you can find in the Federalist papers

So then you don't care about the will of the people. At least be honest about it.
i certainly don't want large state populations to usurp the diversity of politics in the smaller states

It's one thing to disagree with packing the court, but let's not pretend the Republicans care about the people. If they did, they'd be picking liberal or at least moderate people for the SCOTUS and they'd eliminate the Electoral College.
When you say liberal policies, do you mean open borders? I don't see most people supporting that. The push for amnesty doesn't tend to get majority support either.

They have even changed the definition of the word "liberal" to now mean oppressive socialist authoritarianism.

Socialism is just the modern word for monarchy.

D.C. has become a Guild System with an hierarchy and line of accession much like the Royal Court or priestly classes.

Private citizens are perfectly able of doing a better job without "apprenticing".

yeah, it was put in place to lure slave states into the union. They are mentally still slave states. It is way past time for it to be eliminated. There have been attempts in the past by both Dems and reds, but they failed. It is a huge step out of time with today's reality.

That's the exception. But most Americans do support legal abortion and LGBT rights. America as a whole has become more socially liberal with each generation.
If Conservatives were honest, which they rarely are, they'd just say this is about forcing their policies on us. They wouldn't pretend they're representing the American people.

Look up literally any study. And if you don't believe the studies, just look at how Republican rhetoric has changed. One of Bush's major selling points, when he was running for reelection, was that he was for "traditional marriage." Since then, no Republican has made marriage a central issue. It's because they know that the view on gay marriage has changed a lot in recent years.

sorry but it's conservatives that are principled. Souter was appointed by a republican and he became a liberal. Kennedy was appointed by reagan and was often a swing vote. sandra day o connor was appointed by reagan, also a swing vote. Roberts was appointed by w. Swing vote. Even scalia has side with liberals on close votes before. When did ginsberg oro kagan or sotomayor ever side with conservatives on a close 5-4 decision? Never. Conservatives act in accordance with an originalist and textual interpretation of the constitution. They have a consistent and anchored judicial philosophy. Liberals on the other hand do noot believe in the constitution, it is a roadblock too their agenda and they see the coourt as a super legislature.

From bork, to thomas, to alitoo, roberts, kavanaugh and gorsuch, liberals always whine, never give the votes even when they are well qualified by the ABA. Conservatives have always played ball and given you your judges even when we disagreed. But then you startedd abolishing the filibuster and obstucted us at every turn. The supreme court currently has a 58% approval rating by the american public. America does not support court packing and this will be an overeach by you. You guys are johnny come latelys to caring about the court. Conservatives have cared about the court for 30-40 years now. It's been our one driving and uniting force. Liberals are retards and trend followers and you are easily distracted. The court is our thing, its' our bread and butter. You can't beat us at this. that's why we have eviscerated you at every turn. the courts are ours bitch. We have them for the next 50 years. eat shit.
