The Latin word sociare gave birth to two different words, socialist, and Nationalsozialismus(Nazism). While they had the same root, they were two very different ideas. The root word means a team, or a group working together. Socialism was an economic system where people work together, while Nationalsozialismus is a governmental system where a nation (ethnically similar people) work together. In German, if Nazism was a form of socialism, it would be two words National Sozialismus.
The Socialists were the only people who voted against the Nazis in the Reichstag. The other parties fell into line, or like the Communists had already been outlawed. The Socialists were immediately outlawed by Hitler, using the Enabling Act. Their leaders were killed, or at least tortured.
Bizarrely enough, the survivors were willing to work with the Christian Democrats after the war, even though the Christian Democrats had worked with the Nazis. Even today, there is broad coalitions in Germany to keep the right wing radicals out of power.
Socialists would add rights you do not recognize, like the right to healthcare or the right to education. Anyone in the world who can pass the entrance exam in German and a simple criminal background test can get a free education in Germany... And even get paid a minor stipend for living expenses.
There are even rights in Germany and many other countries I do not recognize, like a right to dignity. I always consider dignity to be something internal, but in Germany it is something mandated by the constitution.
I would agree that Nazism is distinctly German. It is the distinctly German version of fascism. Oddly enough, it invaded other fascist countries like Austria, and Poland.
Most pre-WWII fascist countries were Catholic: Italy, Spain, Austria, Poland, and various Latin American countries. Nazism was distinct in that Germany had a bare Protestant majority. The British, American, Dutch, and Nordic fascists saw Nazism as a guide to their own forms of Protestant fascism. Among the American fascists was a man named fred trump, the father of donald trump.
The von Siemens Family had nothing to do with Karl Marx. Marx and von Westphalen were from Prussia, but the von Siemens were from Hanover. Totally different countries at the time.
This is not complex; you are completely wrong. Karl Marx married Jenny von Westphalen.
Spouse(s) Jenny von Westphalen

Karl Marx's wife was Jenny von Westphalen. The von Siemans play no part in the Marx Family, though they are required by German law to have labor union members on the board of directors because of the Marxist philosophy.
If you and Chaz had any dignity, you would admit you were wrong, and apologize for wasting my time.

Don't be afraid to see what you see
Both von Siemens and von Westphalen are noble families, but from different countries. They are both titles and families. Neither is royal. Jenny von Westphalen was not related to the von Siemens family.
Bizarrely, she was related to the Dukes of Argyll, and actually had Duke of Argyll silverware. When Karl Marx tried to sell it, he was arrested because the English police did not believe a German refugee could be related to Scotland's historically most powerful noble family.
I am serious, if you and Chaz had any dignity, you would admit you were wrong, and apologize for wasting my time.

I Don't believe that's true. The lady is a politician running for office. She is very much aware what statement her clothes make.
