Some "chain restaurants" use specific suppliers. Subway is an example. They are not allowed to use alternate suppliers.

My point was that signing up for the demand of fresh beef is signing up for a potential pain in the ass, and I dont see the cause for it as fresh megacorp burgers are inferior to frozen.

Its a gimmick.

Gimmick....Back in the 60's and 70's there was a big ice cream shop chain that served square blocks of ice cream in a cone....that was the exact same thing.

THey wanted to be different, the fact that the difference added nothing they did not give a shit about.

I don't know Wendy's rules for who supplies their product, but I doubt they come from overseas.
But I do know Subway will not allow their shops to get anything from another supplier, even if they run out of product.

Fresh is always better than frozen if prepared correctly.
