Modern heresy? Well you got Karl Marx but Adolf Hitler is Austrian. Postmoderism isn't German it's wide arrayed across several cultures but mostly European. Most philosophers I can think of were French.

Hitler didn't invent Nazism. I could toss in non-national socialism, as well. Germany is best known for postmodernism, despite Frenchies like Sartre.
