Everybody seems insistent that folks on the other side should just give up on election night, especially if their name is Trump. Saying he thinks there may be shenanigans and that he will fight them if there are is not "full dictator", it is prudence.

No one said give up election night, probability is this election will not be over election night, and if cause existed, pursuing legal recourse is logical, however, candidates don’t go into an election already saying that the election is bogus unless they intentionally want to discredit the election ahead of time in case they lose. If they convince their followers that the election was indeed fraudulent, true or not, which obvious Trump has done, they can then do everything at their disposal to overturn the results

And the rest is obvious, just as he has every challenge he has had, Trump will litigate the hell out of it, frivolous or not, with the plan to extend and delay the election. In time, he will appeal to the State Legislators to pick their own electors, which is legal but never been done before, or, keep it in the legal system, appeal after appeal, pushing it to the Trump SCOTUS where beer ball will do his job. That is why he desperately needs that Justice, just in case Roberts follows his conscience and spoils Trump’s plans

What is important is that in the process Trump will destroy the integrity of the election system, it will be a long time before Americans have faith in how they elect their leaders, if they ever will, and thereby question if we are still a democracy
