Seriously? Looks pretty sure that it will be 6-3 AND plus White House plus the Senate and the House is in play.

The SCOTUS may have 5 Trump appointees when he leaves office in 2025.

I’m not asserting anything except correcting the notion that men can’t be sexually assaulted.

Well, that’s off the table lol.

Though they’ll come up with something. Thing is, hearings are a tradition and not written into the constitution. IOW, Republicans don’t have to have them. Though there’s an argument to made for allowing democrat senators ‘to show themselves’ and that could mean one or two more Senate seats. Might even help in the election.

But Republicans need to do this regardless of political consequences. In the event Biden would win, conservatives having SCOTUS in their back pocket could serve as a hedge against some of democrats more ‘outlandish’ initiatives if they are challenged and find their way to SCOTUS.

Think of it as our version of ‘the insurance policy’.

Keep in mind, one of the reasons Trump was elected was to nominate a conservative Justice.
Those who voted for him will vote again if he nominates another conservative Justice.
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

Too much talk radio in that reply.

No way the House is in play. Right now, it looks like Dems will take back the Senate.

If the GOP overplays their hand on SCOTUS, it will be a negative for Trump. And he's already trailing in every poll.

Trump has to be elected because Stephen Breyer is 82 he may need to be replaced.

Women can sexually harass people, and they can do many other things. Banning hearings on a nominee is just crazy. This is exactly the thing we were promised would not happen if the filibuster was given up.

Wow, you want us to give up the constitutionally required advising, because of some strange sexual fantasy you have.

There needs to an investigation, hearings, questioning, and debate of any nominee.

The House is in play for sure. We on need 17. Trump will win and his coat tails will pick up those 17. And UGLY confirmation fight will seal the deal for the republicans.
